Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday
Schedule: Flexible hours

Pay: Salary with bonus, based on experience and performance

Summary:

As the VP of Sales, you will lead FreightWise’s overall sales strategy and revenue growth initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales plans, managing and mentoring the sales team, building strategic customer relationships, and ensuring alignment between sales efforts and company objectives. The VP of Sales will collaborate closely with leadership, marketing, operations, and finance teams to drive growth and maximize performance.

 

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company revenue goals
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, quota setting, and overall sales planning processes
  • Identify new market opportunities and drive market penetration initiatives
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales organization
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development
  • Drive business development efforts and explore new revenue streams
  • Collaborate with marketing to align lead generation and sales initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry partners
  • Oversee sales pipeline management, reporting, and performance metrics
  • Implement sales tools, technologies, and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure alignment between sales and other departments including marketing, operations, and customer success
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies as needed
  • Support customer satisfaction by proactively addressing issues and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Analyze complex sales data and translate insights into actionable business strategies

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in sales leadership roles with proven success driving revenue growth
  • Strong background in managed transportation sales and industry knowledge
  • Experience managing large or geographically dispersed sales teams
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop strategic recommendations
  • Experience with CRM software and sales forecasting tools
  • Experience working with TMS and Managed Transportation solutions
  • Strong network and established industry relationships
  • Ability to manage sales operations within fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively delegate responsibilities
